Nevada Benefits is a certified broker on Nevada Health Link, and we can walk you through the whole process at no cost. If Medicaid says no, we can shop and enroll you in a plan right away.<\/p>\n <h2 style=\"margin-top:1.2em\">What changed: Medicaid Express<\/h2>\n <p>On September 19, 2026, Nevada launched Medicaid Express, a new way to apply for Medicaid online or by phone through Nevada Health Link. No office visit is required.<\/p>\n <p>Before, Nevada Health Link could only flag that you might qualify and pass your file to the Division of Social Services (DSS). Now, for income-based Medicaid, Nevada Health Link can often give you an eligibility answer in real time. If your income points to Medicaid, the system routes you straight into that process.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <div class=\"callout\">\n <h3>DSS still has the final say<\/h3>\n <p>DSS still does a final review. If they need more information, they\u2019ll contact you by mail.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"alt\">\n <div class=\"wrap\">\n <h2>How the process works<\/h2>\n <ol class=\"steps\">\n <li>\n <h3>Apply once<\/h3>\n <p>Apply at <a href=\"https:\/\/nevadahealthlink.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NevadaHealthLink.com<\/a>. You\u2019ll enter your household members, income and a few other details.<\/p>\n <\/li>\n <li>\n <h3>Get your results<\/h3>\n <p>Nevada Health Link checks whether you qualify for Medicaid, Nevada Check Up (for children), or a private plan with tax credits that lower your premium.<\/p>\n <\/li>\n <li>\n <h3>Choose your coverage<\/h3>\n <p><strong>If you qualify for Medicaid,<\/strong> you pick a Medicaid health plan (called a Managed Care Organization, or MCO), and DSS completes a final review.<\/p>\n <p><strong>If you don\u2019t qualify,<\/strong> Nevada Health Link automatically checks what financial help you can get toward a private plan. Private plans are different. No office visit is required.<\/p>\n <p>Before, Nevada Health Link could only flag that you might qualify and pass your file to the Division of Social Services (DSS). Now, for income-based Medicaid, Nevada Health Link can often give you an eligibility answer in real time. If your income points to Medicaid, the system routes you straight into that process.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <div class=\"callout\">\n <h3>DSS still has the final say<\/h3>\n <p>DSS still does a final review.
